How much computation did AlphaFold use for training?
This is related to the AlphaStar computation guesstimate question.
Computation in PFLOP/s-days used by AlphaFold.
No, not "compute", but "computation" which is a noun rather than a verb. (But I acknowledge I am a lone voice in the wilderness on this.) The estimate should not include computation used for hyperparameter tuning and architecture search.

The method of calculations should be as similar as possible to that used in the "AI and compute" article.
Note also that this article estimates actual rather than theoretical FLOPS, assuming a GPU utilization at 33% and CPU utilization at 17%.

Use the community stats to get a better sense of the community consensus (or lack thereof) for this question.
